Final team sharing

We had our final team sharing yesterday to celebration the end of an era with the Ruahine and Kapua teams.  Unfortunately we were a bit short on time so our presentation had to be left out.

This is the shorter version, I had to cut it back a bit because the original was too big for the blog.  Hopefully everyone is on there somewhere!!

Discovery this week

There were all sorts of things happening in the Ruahine and Kapua teams this week for discovery... art, crafts, physical education, gardening, constructing....!!

We use this time to work on our thinking, creative and collaborative skills (and to work on our perseverance)

More seeds...

We have more seeds growing in our classroom at the moment.... but this time they are not a mystery!  We have a collection of peas, zucchinis, corn?  (I will need to check this with Mrs Mayston).  Already the peas are starting to shoot... more additions to the school garden?

Watch this space... photo to follow...

Tin foil creations...

We are getting creative today!  The class have been making sculptures out of tin foil which we will be writing about next week.  We have been talking about the POWER of acceptance when things don't go our way too!  (Lessons in life #358....)  :-)

Writing in room 19

This morning we have been writing in a variety of interesting ways.  Some people have been writing stories on the computer, some have been writing on clipboards, others have been playing word games and some children have been to a writing workshop with Mrs. Davies.  See us in action....
