Final team sharing

We had our final team sharing yesterday to celebration the end of an era with the Ruahine and Kapua teams.  Unfortunately we were a bit short on time so our presentation had to be left out.

This is the shorter version, I had to cut it back a bit because the original was too big for the blog.  Hopefully everyone is on there somewhere!!

Discovery this week

There were all sorts of things happening in the Ruahine and Kapua teams this week for discovery... art, crafts, physical education, gardening, constructing....!!

We use this time to work on our thinking, creative and collaborative skills (and to work on our perseverance)

Letter from Zebong

We were lucky to watch Zebong the storyteller a few weeks ago.  He came and told some great stories, and we all really enjoyed the show.
We all wrote thank you letters to him, and we received a reply in the mail just the other day!!

Our class started with rotations about the country Scotland, where we learned about dancing, tartans, food, language, and history.  Then we watched Cool Runnings, to get us thinking about countries competing in sports.
