Gala crafts

We have been busy today!  Our cute little butterflies are all done and ready for the gala.... hopefully they will fly right out the door!  They have magnetic backs so they are ideal for notes and artwork on your fridge...

(Don't worry, you will be able to reserve one if it belongs to your child...)

Estimating in maths

As part of our maths programme we are working on measuring and estimating at the moment.  We are learning about lengths of objects, making comparisons and trying to work out how long an object is.  We had a great afternoon exploring and investigating the lengths of different classroom items.....

Still life...(did he stay still?)

Today the class were using their drawing books to draw a still life...one of our class members!  Ari had to be the "real-life" model for the class....looks like a lot of fun! (Thanks Mrs Mayston)

....it's off to the school garden you go.....

Yes, that's right, we have moved our little plants out to the school garden where they can mingle with the flowers, fruits and vegetables.

Mrs Mayston kindly took everyone out there last week to help transplant our little plants to a new home....
